Our policy which is supported by management is

• Health and safety is our primary priority
• All tasks must be performed with safety as the highest priority
• Nobody’s health or safety will be sacrificed just to ‘get the job done’
• All injuries are preventable
• Safety is everyone’s responsibility
• The establishment of early and effective rehabilitation is paramount

At Core Point we believe that it is the right of all staff, contractors and visitors to be provided with a workplace that is free from harm and that is supported by a culture that ensures health and safety are absolute priority.

To achieve this we will

• Proactively pursue the identification of all hazards and eliminate or mitigate the risks
• Promote active participation of contractors and employees in the management of ‘everyone’s’ health, wellbeing and safety
• Develop a roadmap to continuous improvement of our environment, health and safety management systems
• Ensure that any companies we partner with have at least the same standard of health and safety management as we do
• Provide adequate resources to meet our health and safety targets
• Identify performance measures, set improvement targets, measure and report performance and reward innovation in health, safety and environmental initiatives
• Develop and maintain a culture where ‘everyone’ is aware of and proactively mitigating possible risks to health and safety and wellbeing

Wellness program

• Core Point sponsors employee and contractor participation in the company’s ongoing health check program.  The focus of this program is on nutrition, health and weight loss
• Core Point Directors sponsor ‘Environment, Health and Safety Awards’ that reward innovative ideas or actions that improve or meet our wellness targets
